(Edmonton, AB), For the first time ever, Gord Bamford and Aaron Pritchett plan to share the stage for their upcoming eastern Canadian Rowdy Boys Tour 2011.
The tour kicks off in Owen Sound, Ontario on Friday, March 25 at Roxy Theatre. Bamford and Pritchett will play a total of eight shows in Ontario and three in Nova Scotia.
Ontario tour locations include Guelph, London, Owen Sound, Orillia, Peterborough, Oshawa, Hamilton and Pembroke. The Rowdy Boys tour will play two dates at The Rodeo Lounge in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and April 10 Membertou, Nova Scotia.
“It is always great to come back to eastern Canada and visit with my fans there. I couldn’t be more excited to share the stage with Aaron. He’s a terrific artist who has a tremendous fan base,” says Bamford. “All of our fans should prepare for a very high energy, fun-loving Rowdy Boys show!”
“It gives me great pleasure to be able to say that I will be going on a fantastic tour with my good buddy Gord Bamford,” says Aaron Pritchett. “Knowing GB for as long as I have, since we were both regular performers on the "club circuit" in both B.C. and Alberta back in the 90's and early 2000's, it will be a real treat for the both of us to take the stage together as co-headliners for the "Rowdy Boys" tour!”
This tour is unique in that both artists are sharing the stage, with no headlining or opening act. Both artists plan to play hit after hit and they hint at perhaps even singing a song or two together. The two Canadian country artists have been long-time friends and colleagues.
“With Gord's mostly traditional sound and my country-rock based sound, I think it will appeal to a wide-range of people to come to the show and check out just what it's like to blend the two together. It will get ROWDY, without a doubt and will be an unbelievable concert series,” says Pritchett.
Bamford and Pritchett are multiple Canadian Country Music Association Award (CCMA) winners. Bamford is the current 2010 CCMA Male Artist of the Year.
